This is like if Cady, Janis, and Damian got hit by a bus that Regina, Gretchen, and Karen were operating.
Then, instead of using their own bus to get revenge, Cady decided to leave Janis and Damian, to join Regina, Gretchen, and Karen in running them over again next season.
Every time the Warriors step on the court, they’re going to perform as well as the Plastics did, and even if something goes wrong, KD, or another member of the team will adapt, and they will overcome it.
Collectively they'll form an indestructibly arrogant, basketball shooting, record-breaking, shade-throwing, beautiful monster.
So, who are the members of the Golden State Warriors and how do they compare to the Plastics? Not just because they're both popular, but each of them have successful fathers.
Curry’s dad didn't do anything to change the world, like invent the toaster strudel, but he did have an accomplished, 16-year career in the NBA. Before Cady sat with Regina George at lunch, you wouldn't have expected her to join the Plastics, because she had her own group you thought she'd be loyal to.
KD doesn’t want Le Bron in the same way that Cady wanted Aaron, but he’s certainly chasing after him. Well, because Le Bron is the leader of the reigning NBA champions – the Cleveland Cavaliers. He wants Le Bron’s trophy, so he’s pursuing after him by any means necessary, disregarding loyalty and friendship in the hopes of winning his Aaron Samuels.
What remains unknown in this metaphorical investigation is how things will play out in the NBA version of Mean Girls.
KD was a generally well-liked individual, who found himself a couple of trusty friends.
Cady’s close friends were Janis Ian and Damian, and KD’s friends/teammates in this analogy are Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams.
Think of Russell Westbrook as Janis, because he's super intense like she was, and think of Steven Adams as Damian, because they’re both hilarious.
In June of 2016, Draymond's team led three games to one in a best-of-seven series, meaning he was one victory away from winning the NBA championship. It was similar for KD, whom many expected to stick with his squad.
Draymond's team went on to lose three straight games and the championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers. KD truly joined the enemy, signing with the Golden State Warriors about a month and a half after they'd narrowly beaten him and his teammates in the playoffs.
Now that we got that out of the way, it’s time to talk about the starring attraction...
